Arab Queers Critique Gay Tourism

Bekhsoos is a weekly queer Arab magazine run by a volunteer team of young women and trans people. It boldly tackles topics of homophobia, sexuality, queer gender, and radical feminism. It also discusses and critiques strategies of gay and lesbian movements in the region. The current issue of October 11 is a special edition on gay tourism and provides much-needed analysis on the intersections of gay rights discourses with capitalism, imperialism, Orientalism, “pink-washing,” and global currents of neo-liberalization.
