Share Your Thoughts on Beijing+20 with UN and Government Leaders!

20 years on from the 4th World Conference on Women in Beijing, what would you like to say to UN and government leaders about women’s rights?

AWID’s Executive Director, Lydia Alpizar, will be speaking at the opening of the 59th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 59) which will focus on the 20-year review and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

We’re asking you to help shape the speech she delivers there by letting us know:

What are three key messages about women’s rights that you would like UN and government leaders to hear?

This is an important opportunity to have your voice heard at a high level event attended by the Secretary General, the President of the Security Council, the President of ECOSOC, the President of the UN General Assembly and the head of UN Women, UN Member States and civil society about the status of women’s rights.

Post your comments on our web, or tell us what you think on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtags #FeministWant and #CSW59.

All comments shared with us from feminists and women’s rights activists will also be delivered in full to the CSW Bureau.

We look forward to hearing from you!
